Out Story has its humble beginnings in 1986, when our founders, Louis Lai Fat Fur and Francois Woo Shing Hai, decided the time was right to start a small business on the beautiful Indian ocean island of Mauritius. It was primarily involved in cut-make-trim operations. There was one sewing factory and just 30 collaborators.
But there was another asset to this young business that could not be recorded on the ledger books. It was heart And passion. From day one, there was a dream to create something out of the ordinary. It is this intangible spirit that has driven our story forward and brought us to the place we find ourselves now.
Whilst we believe we still have so much further to go, Compagnie Mauricienne de Textile Ltee (CMT) is today a globally renowned fashion apparel manufacturer working in the service of many of the world’s major fashion brands, with a hard-earned, far-reaching reputation for excellence in product design, quality and first-class service.
